QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry/material technology/paper technology
  • Experience and understanding of a broad spectrum of laboratory work
  • Highly skilled in analytical thinking
  • Proficient in using data/IT as work tools
  • Experience from working in a laboratory and/or the packaging industry is an advantage
  • Good English language, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Scandinavian languages is an advantage
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Laboratory Engineer for a permanent position in the Food & Material Laboratories at Elopak CO in Spikkestad (Røyken) in Asker municipality. The position will be part of the laboratory team consisting of 11 dedicated and enthusiastic Laboratory Engineers. Our laboratory offers a wide range of analytical services supporting development programs, handling customer claims, and providing general technical support to our customers. The development programs are driven by a strong focus on sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Testing of recyclability of packaging materials
  • Testing of mechanical and physical properties of packaging materials
  • Planning, analyzing data, and documenting assignments
  • Supporting customer claims, development projects, and customer projects within material analysis
  • Follow up on maintenance and calibration of instruments.
  • Developing, establishing, and documenting analytical methods
  • Daily operations and follow-up in the laboratory
