JOB SUMMARY

As an Instrument Specialist for our Safety Assessment team at the Senneville location, you will be helping with issues related to the support of the equipment and instruments used, and will be a resource to the technical group.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform routine system maintenance and verification of laboratory instruments in compliance with SOP’s, safety procedures and biosafety protocols, and GLP regulations;
  • Perform trouble shooting and repair of laboratory instruments;
  • Participate in the set up, configuration and qualification of the instrumentation necessary to implement the tests in the laboratory;
  • Understand the interactions between the different components that make up the instrument in order to target the cause of a problem;
  • Perform or participate in the creation of IQ/OQ/PQ procedures for equipment and instruments.

KEY ELEMENTS

We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:

  • College diploma in analytical chemistry or in laboratory sciences;
  • One year of experience require in laboratory sciences;
  • Able to take initiative and solve problems autonomously;
  • Able to work physically occasionally (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.).
Responsibilities

ROLE SPECIFIC INFORMATION:

  • Location: 22022 route Transcanadienne, Senneville, QC, H9X 1C1;

  • Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station and John Abbott College to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station;

  • Annual bonus based on performance;
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday during the day;
  • Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.
