Fairfax EggBank, a subsidiary of the Genetics & IVF Institute, is seeking a full-time Laboratory Logistics Specialist for our Fairfax EggBank division at our headquarters in Fairfax, VA.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Prior experience with inventory tracking systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, etc.) is beneficial; open to training motivated candidates
• Bachelor’s Degree in the sciences strongly preferred with other prior shipping or administrative experience
• Relevant shipping or administrative experience required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work independently
• General computer proficiency is essential
• Comfortable learning and adapting to new software tools

• Coordinating outbound and inbound frozen egg shipments to affiliated laboratories
• Verifying for accuracy the requisite shipping paperwork
• Managing and being primarily responsible for both outbound and inbound shipments (FedEx)
• Daily preparing and packing 35 lb. shipping containers for shipment and receiving
• Inventory inbound shipments
• Primarily responsible for QA/QC measures of shipping containers
• Daily maintenance of shipping containers
• Maintaining accurate record keeping and filing
• Manage shipping supply inventory
• Other administrative duties as needed
