Your role:
To enhance our laboratory and leadership team, we are excited to invite applications for the position of Laboratory Manager in Chemical Process Development for Display and Specialty Chemicals. In the Electronics sector, we are at the forefront of innovation, developing cutting-edge materials for a wide range of exciting applications. As Laboratory Manager in process development, you will play a pivotal role in bringing new products to life, producing substances in the gram to multi-kilogram range. You will be instrumental in shaping process engineering methodologies, scaling them up to pilot levels, and facilitating a seamless transition to production facilities. You will lead a talented team of skilled chemical laboratory technicians, and utilize detailed data analysis to optimize synthesis routes and manufacturing processes. Your work on a diverse array of organic compounds will prioritize safety, environmental responsibility, and economic efficiency. As a leader, you will inspire your team, streamline and structure workflows, and engage in dynamic collaboration with key stakeholders across research departments, supply chain, quality units, and production facilities.
Your qualifications:
- You have a degree in Chemistry and Doctorate in the area of organic synthesis (broad knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry and organometallic catalysis)
- Ideally, you have previous professional experience in chemical industry as well as initial experience in personnel management and working in project teams
- You are experienced in working in an international context, e.g. as part of a postdoctoral stay
- Team work, independence and assertiveness are among your strengths
- Your working style is pragmatic and solution-oriented
- You are a strong communicator with cooperation skills and a passion for innovation
- You are business fluent in English and German
