THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our Mine Process and Infrastructure Team in Canada is growing, and we’re looking for a Laboratory Manager to lead transformative solutions that directly support our projects and partners. If you thrive on innovation, embrace problem-solving, and lead with confidence, this is your opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of engineering specialists, professionals, and technical experts.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO WSP:

We’re looking for trailblazers who bring expertise, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to innovation.

  • Deep knowledge - A post-secondary degree in Civil, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering / Technology (or related discipline);
  • Proven expertise - At least 12 years of hands-on tailings materials testing experience, including rheology, dewatering, and compressive strength assessments;
  • Technical mastery - Sound understanding of industry-standard procedures (ASTM, AASHTO, CSA);
  • Visionary leadership - A track record of guiding teams and collaborating with project managers to resolve competing priorities with clarity and confidence;
  • Agility and precision - Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, seamlessly juggling multiple projects;
  • Digital fluency - Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data interpretation and reporting;
  • Global curiosity - While this role is laboratory based, enthusiasm for national and international travel to support field programs is a strong advantage;
  • Safety-first mindset - A commitment to workplace safety, with First Aid and WHMIS training considered an asset.

If you’re ready to push boundaries in laboratory innovation, we want to hear from you.
