As a Laboratory Scientist I, you’ll play a hands-on role in the core operations of our laboratory; performing critical testing, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering timely, accurate results that support both our providers and patients. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree in Clinical Lab Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of laboratory experience in a clinical or reference lab environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance, quality, and turnaround times
  • Proficiency with laboratory instrumentation, LIMS, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
  • Able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs

Responsibilities
  • Receive, label, and prepare samples for clinical and toxicology testing following strict protocols.
  • Perform extractions, screening, and confirmation testing using laboratory instrumentation and scientific methods.
  • Complete all testing within required turnaround times (typically same-day).
  • Enter and verify results in our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and/or EMR.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation and participate in regular equipment checks, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Support quality assurance and participate in both internal and external proficiency testing.
  • Ensure compliance with all laboratory SOPs, safety, and regulatory requirements (e.g., CLIA/COLA).
  • Collaborate with providers, Medical Assistants, and your lab manager to support workflow and process improvements.
