Spend 10 weeks working inside one of our hospital-based clinical labs in Northwestern Pennsylvania — learning from experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists, getting exposure to real testing environments, and building the foundation for a future career with UPMC. 🧪 About the Lab Internship Program UPMC’s 10-week Lab Internship Program gives science students the opportunity to put what they’ve learned in the classroom into practice. This is a full-time, paid, hands-on experience designed for students who are serious about exploring lab careers. During the internship, you will: Work side-by-side with experienced clinical laboratory professionals Gain exposure to high-volume, high-acuity lab environments Learn how lab teams support real-time patient care Build confidence performing hands-on, detail-oriented lab tasks Grow your resume while exploring career pathways within UPMC Network with lab leadership and learn about future lab career opportunities If you’re interested in becoming a Medical Laboratory Scientist, MLT, or pursuing any clinical lab profession, this experience will help you sharpen your skills and see what a real hospital lab environment looks like day-to-day. 🏥 Where You’ll Be Working – Northwestern PA Locations (You’ll select your top 2 locations when you apply.)
