    Job Description
    The purpose of this job is to serve as a laboratory support analyst within the client environment to support their technical and analytical tasks, to work to the highest standards in terms of quality and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Printing and giving labels to manufacturing.
  • Pipette coordination within the central lab.
  • Sample retrieval from warehouse
  • Logging samples & overall management of the SAP.
  • Looking after freezer logbook reviews.
  • Preventative maintenance.
  • Liaise with Maintenance for calibrations and movement of samples when required.
  • Updates to Job Cards.
  • Notification to alarm responders when JSC activity with freezers on going, before and after.
  • Follow up on alarms and request QBAS trends when required.
  • Coordination and management of sample shipping.
  • Audit Ready in case JSC freezers ever got pulled.
  • Training of JSC personnel on use of freezers and freezer management.
  • Aliquoting and adding the label to the vials.
  • Placing in agreed freezer location.
  • Coordination and management of sample shipping.
  • Alarm monitoring on QBAS · Management of samples through the laboratory, both in terms of internal samples and shipment of samples externally for analysis.
  • Co-ordinating and completing SAP Work orders
  • Responding to ad-hoc request for sample pulls and information relating to sample management.
  • Administration of documentation with reference to samples, i.e. receipt of external sample results and entry onto LIMS.
  • Reference material inventory management.
  • Generating reports from environmental monitoring and water analysis data.
  • Maintaining all documentation and systems related to their work in collaboration with the client personnel and their suppliers.
  • Generation of certain quality and business-related metrics.
  • Assisting laboratory analytical personnel as required.
  • Keeping their training records up to date and initiating training where possible when free from work.
  • Adhering to all company standards in the area of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all documentation is carried out on time, accurately and legibly.
  • Providing cover for other members of the PSS Team as required.
  • To be constantly aware of the clients requirements and strive to meet or exceed those requirements keeping in mind the client process and deliverables.
  • To identify and communicate to PSS Management areas for improvement or optimisation in order to improve efficiencies and provide a cost effective service.
  • As with all members of staff this person is responsible for ensuring that the client requirements are fully met and in so doing will be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A third level qualification in a scientific discipline
  • At least 1 years GMP experience in a laboratory environment
  • Good team player
  • Good communication skills both internally and externally
  • Accuracy, attention to detail
  • Good organisation of work space and time management.
