REQUIREMENTS

  • Third level qualification in a Science, Food, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline desirable
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Food/Beverage or Pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors with particular experience in process/production management and use of automated systems
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Improvement or product development,
  • Experience in operating within, and delivering on, the highest quality standards in the manufacturing sector
  • Results driven, customer focused with high performance capability in a fast moving challenging business environment
  • Demonstrate strong technical ability and attention to detail to do the job at a high level of accomplishment

Responsibilities

ROLE PROFILE

The primary purpose of this role is to act as a hands-on lead within the laboratory. This is achieved in the main by the delivery of the SMC & Powder sampling plan with the shift teams, ensuring RFT and timely delivery of required results.
This will be a days role working to develop and support systems for 24/7 lab delivery of all tasks.
They will act as the primary escalation point along with the TL for the PSs on all laboratory related issues impacting delivery on time. Furthermore, they are the conduit through which all requests which might impact upon the PSs must be directed as seen in TRFs. The role should be lab based where the ‘LS PS’ is supporting delivery of the SMC & Powder sampling plan, ensuring that the relevant CI projects and reviewed WOWs are developed reflecting the new manning. Where necessary they are directly involved in supporting the lab PS processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the continued delivery of the high standard of sampling and testing from the lab.
  • Support Liquid and Lab PSs and participate where necessary in the completion of essential tasks to ensure the RFT delivery of SMC.
  • Owner of the improvement and development of Lab PSs KPIs.
  • POC for changes and introduction of new processes to the Lab.
  • Main POC for team leader in relation to developing requirements of the lab and ongoing performance.
  • Development of trending data and WOWs for in process results. Key member and owner of CI and improvement projects.
  • Owner of quality control processes from a production point of view i.e. seals, inkjet and other agreed adhoc checks. Complete weekly QC checks of the same
  • Key production member in Audit readiness and strong POC for cleaning contractor supervisor
  • Support the production team where necessary to ensure delivery of day to day production deliverables and requests where necessary.
  • Strong dotted line to TL implementing instruction from the Team Leader to deliver lab planning versus resources and production plan.
  • Working with Team leader to plan and implement day to day Lab deliverables.
  • Laboratory SME supporting training, procedure development and sign off.
  • Cover agreement for leave is facilitated by lab coordinator and vice versa.
