Overview Element is currently hiring for a Laboratory Technician I to join our environmental testing laboratory in Lafayette, Louisiana. The Lafayette facility is a full-service environmental laboratory supporting water, soil, air, and regulatory compliance testing for municipal, industrial, and government clients. As part of Element’s global Testing, Inspection, and Certification organization, the site operates under established quality systems and industry accreditations to deliver reliable analytical results. This role supports day-to-day laboratory operations in a safety-focused, regulated environment and offers an entry point into environmental testing within a global organization. Responsibilities Assist and learn all aspects of work the environmental department carry out including preparation and analysis of environmental samples Assistance with maintenance and calibration of department equipment and instrumentation Skills / Qualifications Bachelor of Science, or equivalen 2 years relevant experience Physical fitness and ability to withstand the challenging working conditions such as standing for duration and carrying heavy loads Strong and determined quality focus Self-motivated team playing with excellent organizational and communication skills Willingness to embrace new skills and apply them in a practical context is considered prerequisite #LI-TK1 Diversity Statement At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
