Responsibilities

AS A LAB TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Conducting routine laboratory tests, including the necessary checks and operations of equipment required in the laboratory.
  • Carrying out conceptual or theoretical or practical activities related to the science of applying chemistry to industrial processes or for development of new technologies or products.
  • Executing routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision.
  • Performing moderately complex assignments which are non-routine which may include equipment, facilities or product design.
  • Working independently at times and works within a team to complete projects.
  • Carrying out all required responsibilities safely and as described in the standard operations manual. Communicates results to supervisor in detailed manner.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with experience in Engineering/Technology).
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Have intermediate to advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
