Description

Cooneen Group requires a Laboratory Technician (ballistics) to join the team at Cooneen Protection, Fivemiletown on a permanent basis. The successful person will assist in the testing of all Personal Protective solutions undertaken by the Company for new and existing business.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, organise and carryout all QC and R&D testing in the ballistic range to the required standard as directed by Ballistics Engineer and Head of Ballistics. Updating the Head of Ballistics on testing progress as per weekly range schedule
  • Record and log all testing activities in the centralized database and circulate reports to Head of Ballistics
  • Complete scheduled maintenance and calibration activities as directed.
  • Ensure that all safety, cleaning and operating procedures are followed in the ballistic range and record all activities for audits
  • Maintain equipment and resources to meet legal and safety requirements as per range preventative maintenance schedule
  • Monitor and maintain range stock levels and organise purchase & GRN of all range stock
  • Assist Head of Ballistics in the review of range procedures
  • Raise any QC issues to quality team and Head of Ballistics
  • To identify opportunities for improving the method of operation in your area of responsibility.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by management.
  • Observe all Company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security.
  • Maximize efficiency by supporting Cooneen Lean continuous improvement activities
