POSITION SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, the Laboratory Technician – Chemistry Associate is responsible for learning and adhering to the Chemical Hygiene Plan and current Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) laboratory safety standards. The technician follows established safety protocols while performing assigned tasks and supports laboratory operations by conducting prototype or experimental tests in accordance with prescribed procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of at least eight (8) hours of college-level chemistry coursework is preferred.
• Basic understanding of laboratory practices and safety protocols.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Comply with all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
• Assist in conducting laboratory or prototype tests using standard procedures.
• Learn to assemble test equipment and perform basic material or environmental tests utilizing electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical instruments.
• Accurately document test data for reporting and analysis purposes.
• Maintain organized records and documentation related to test equipment and results.
• Support the upkeep and calibration of laboratory instruments and tools.
