Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

DNV’s Columbus Technology Center in Dublin, Ohio is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform specialized corrosion and mechanical testing to assess material behavior in hydrogen, CO2, hydrogen sulfide, and various other environments. The research and testing performed in Columbus supports operations and infrastructure to meet the current energy demand, while accelerating decarbonization strategies that include transportation and storage of hydrogen and CO2.

THIS ROLE IS BASED AT OUR DNV OFFICE IN DUBLIN, OH. FURTHER DETAILS REGARDING ROLE-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS WILL BE SHARED DURING THE INTERVIEW PROCESS.

What You ll Do

  • Setup and run laboratory experiments, including the ability to:
  • Handle pressurized equipment/gas and chemicals/test solutions (some environments will be hazardous, such as H2 and H2S thorough safety training will be provided)
  • Collect data
  • Analyze test specimens using photography, microscopy, balances, calipers
  • Design/procure test materials and coordinate machining jobs
  • Follow established safety and quality procedures
  • Provide input on design of customized test set-ups
  • Inspect, test, repair/troubleshoot, and install equipment Complete other duties as assigned
  • Adhere to Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Assurance program on projects.
