Register patient details and tests required on the laboratory computer system.
Prepare samples where appropriate for analysis.
Enter request on the laboratory LIMS and prepare samples for analysis under supervision of the BMS(s).
Operate equipment such as loading centrifuges and automated equipment and use of pipettes and computer terminals in accordance with the laboratory SOPs.
Maintain laboratory and ensure workbenches are clean and tidy.
Safely handle and dispose of blood, urine or other biological material or hazardous chemicals.
Prepare referral samples for external laboratory analysis.
