Job Description Full Time position The Laboratory Analyst within the Food Chemistry Laboratory is responsible for performing analytical methods, operating equipment/analytical instruments, and managing sample registration and disposal. Qualifications Diploma in Science/Laboratory Techniques (or similar) or equivalent Food Testing experience preferred. Tertiary qualifications not essential but will be valued. Experience in a Commercial Food laboratory will be an advantage. Experience in using different equipment/instrumental (IC/GC/HPLC) and sample preparation techniques. Knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel. Skills and Success Profile: Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to structure thoughts deliberately, logically and directly. Strong attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to problem solve and work well under pressure. Ability to work as part of a team or to work independently when required. Highly motivated with a professional attitude. Ability to build rapport and strong working relationships. Display honesty and integrity at all times.
