The opportunity: Due to ongoing growth, we require a Laboratory Technician, to assist our busy team. Opportunities exist for both full and part-time roles. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy variety as the role involves field, aggregates, soils, concrete and asphalt testing. You will work in an environment where all staff are responsible for ensuring the requirements of an IANZ accredited laboratory are maintained. What you'll bring to the table: While prior experience is ideal it is not essential, just the right can-do attitude and a willingness to learn are required as full training will be provided. For the right candidate there will be the opportunity to work towards an industry recognized professional qualification. So, if you have a genuine interest in laboratory work then this could be the career opportunity for you! A relevant qualification in science or civil engineering is desirable, but not essential. Experience and knowledge in materials testing is preferable, but not essential. An interest in science / geology / road engineering / construction industry. Capable in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent time management skills & the ability to prioritise workload. Full NZ Class 1 license. Be physically fit. Health and safety focused. Ability to work both within a team and unsupervised. Highly motivated combined with a great work ethic. We’re looking for passionate people with a positive approach and a can-do attitude.
