Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

This is a practical, lab-based role where you’ll gain valuable experience closely supporting the In Vitro Toxicology team and the studies they perform. This will involve working with bacterial and mammalian cell cultures under aseptic conditions, performing microbiological techniques, and carrying out routine tasks such as reagents preparations and maintaining laboratory stocks, all within a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliant environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

You’ll play a key role in the smooth running of our laboratory, including:

  • Setting up and performing genetic toxicology assays and recording accurate data.
  • Carrying out sterile and aseptic techniques for maintaining bacterial and mammalian cell cultures.
  • Maintaining lab cleanliness, supplies, and equipment (cleaning, calibrations, waste management, reagent preparations).
  • Assisting with the preparation of laboratory work sheets and standard assays.
  • Accurately recording and checking raw data.
