The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a motivated and proactive Laboratory Technician to join the team based in Mölndal, Sweden. In this position, you’ll be part of the Chemistry Automation Group and will assist in laboratory support operations, such as glassware collection, equipment maintenance or supporting ad-hoc projects.

THE TEAM

You’ll work alongside 12 colleagues in the Chemistry Automation Group. This is an international, inclusive environment, where you’ll collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working in a laboratory environment, preferably within the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry
  • Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Health & Safety (H&S) regulations
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Swedish is a plus
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and work collaboratively
  • Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

How you’ll thrive and create an impact

  • Glassware & Consumables Management: Ensure the timely delivery and proper handling of glassware washing and replenishment of consumables within the Laboratory Support scope
  • Workspace Organization: Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized workspace to meet lab requirements and ensure efficiency
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain various machines and laboratory instruments, ensuring their operational readiness
  • Lab Coat and Supplies Management: Oversee the collection and replenishment of guest lab coats and ensure all media, water, and sterile goods are delivered as needed
  • Ad-hoc Support: Assist with additional tasks and projects to support laboratory needs and improve workflow efficiency
