QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of a 2-year diploma in a related health discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with materials management and working in a clinical setting.
  • Experience working in a post-secondary institution laboratory is considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Responsibilities
  • Organizing equipment and supplies inventory to ensure systematic and effective distribution of resources;
  • Tracking, ordering and receiving equipment and materials;
  • Organizing and tracking calibration and maintenance of instruments;
  • Researching, recommending and testing new equipment and supplies;
  • Maintaining the WHMIS binder in the lab environments;
  • Managing biohazard disposal;
  • Providing information to the Scheduler about space and equipment limitations and maintenance disruptions;
  • Providing information to stakeholder on room capabilities, and the availability, use and operation of equipment and supplies;
  • Troubleshooting and solving equipment issues;
  • Supporting simulation events and activities; and
  • Supporting lab activities and operations
