Laboratory Technician Melbourne Grammar School has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Technician at our Senior School commencing early May 2026 until May 2027. The Laboratory Technician will focus primarily on supporting Year 9 and 10 classes and will work closely with the other lab technicians and other teaching staff to ensure the curriculum is able to be delivered competently and safely at all times throughout the year. The role will ensure that facilities are maintained and that all preparation for class work is completed in a timely manner in consultation with the Head of Science, Senior Laboratory Technician and other teaching staff. You will Assist teaching staff in instructing students on the use and care of equipment during science experiment. Demonstrate laboratory techniques to science teaching staff and students. Maintain a safe chemical storage, handling and disposal system. Ensures the efficient administrative and office support activities for the Science department. Collect and maintain specimens, samples and off campus scientific materials.
