Lab Technician Nonacus Clinical Services, Birmingham, B32 1AF Salary £26,000 - £28,000 Mon – Fri, working 07:00-15:00 & 11:00-19:00 rotating monthly We're looking for a proactive lab technician with a solid foundation in molecular biology who's ready to grow. You'll be: Working independently and collaboratively across multiple diagnostic projects Performing essential lab management duties, including stock monitoring, procurement, and equipment maintenance Executing technical procedures with precision Contributing to documentation, including COSHH assessments and SOPs Demonstrating flexibility and initiative in a fast-paced clinical environment What We're Looking For Essential: Strong laboratory skills and good laboratory practice Experience with DNA/RNA extraction, real-time qPCR, and PCR Knowledge of safe sample handling protocols Experience in ISO15189/ISO13485 regulated environments Meticulous attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting abilities Ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks while keeping quality paramount Desirable: Familiarity with NGS applications, library preparation, and target enrichment methods Background in genomics or molecular diagnostics You'll develop specialised skills in cancer diagnostics, work with modern NGS technology and be part of a collaborative culture that values innovation and creativity.
