Company Description

One Scientific Ltd has over 25 years' experience providing a comprehensive range of microbiological and chemical testing services.

We're looking for reliable, detail-oriented part-time Laboratory Technicians to join our team, supporting daily laboratory operations including food sampling, measurement and microbiological analysis. You'll work collaboratively with the laboratory team, following strict aseptic technique and sample processing protocols to ensure accurate results in a clean, audit-ready environment.

No scientific background is needed, full training is provided, though previous experience in a food production or industrial laboratory setting is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing basic media preparation, including sterilising and pouring microbiological growth media and reagents.
• Sample handling, weighing, measuring and dilution for physical and microbiological testing.
• Following aseptic technique protocols to prevent contamination.
• Keeping laboratory areas clean, tidy and audit-ready.
• Working with the team to manage daily workflow and meet deadlines.

• Comfortable following detailed written procedures accurately.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to perform well under pressure, stand for long periods and handle different food types.
• A fast learner, hardworking and adaptable
• Previous experience in a food production or industrial laboratory setting is desirable but not essential

Shift pattern (examples)

• 8-hour shifts: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
• Sun-Thur, Tues-Sat
• Part-time work is available.

What we offer
