Job Description

YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN OUR EXCITING LABORATORY TEAM BASED AT THE LYTTON DC!

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Laboratory Assistant to support our lab operations. In this role, you’ll be directly involved in day-to-day lab tasks such as weighing, sampling, cleaning, and handling equipment, helping to ensure smooth and efficient lab processes. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a hands-on, flexible position in a collaborative environment.
This is a part-time position, working 5 hours per day, 5 days per week (9am – 2pm or 10am – 3pm).

Responsibilities:

DAILY TASKS:

Weighing items accurately for Laboratory staff.
Loading and unloading equipment with precision.
Pouring and packaging material.
Cleaning and wiping down workbenches to maintain cleanliness and safety.
Completing batch books and keeping records up to date.
Sampling, cutting, and using knives to prepare materials.
Manual handling and some heavy lifting of equipment and materials.

YOU WILL BRING TO THIS ROLE:

Strong attention to detail and organisation.
Ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and carrying equipment.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Prior experience within an laboratory environment would be advantageous but not essential.
