Job Description SGS are seeking a diligent and skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team in Perth The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting laboratory operations, ensuring the accuracy and quality of analytical results, and contributing to a safe, efficient, and high-performing work environment. Responsibilities include however not limited to: Maintain detailed and accurate records for sample submissions, sample preparation processes, and turnaround times. Operate instruments within the relevant department, including ICP-MS/OES, MP-AES, AAS, and Photon Assay. Organize samples and arrange for their return or disposal, following correct procedures and client requirements. Ensure all new staff are appropriately trained and that training documentation is up to date and accessible. Maintain the Quality Management System and Laboratory Manuals. Review analytical results for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards. Qualifications The successful applicant will have: Qualifications in Chemistry, a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience. Experience in laboratory operations, sample preparation, and chemical processes. Understanding of acid extraction methods and sample type recognition. Understanding of fire assay operations and laboratory methodologies. Competent in using CCLAS LIMS. Knowledge of company quality systems. Proficiency in ICP-MS/OES, MP-AES, and AAS instrumentation.
