Overview

A full-time Laboratory Technician opportunity is available within a regulated laboratory environment supporting accurate, timely, and compliant testing. The role is responsible for laboratory testing, sample management, quality control, documentation, equipment maintenance, and result reporting while working in accordance with established procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

This position is well suited to a detail-oriented laboratory professional with a strong commitment to quality, compliance, data integrity, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform authorized moderate- and high-complexity laboratory testing in accordance with established SOPs, training, certification, and technical requirements.
• Manage and process samples while ensuring accurate and timely testing and documentation.
• Conduct quality control activities, result review, reporting, instrument calibration, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain complete and accurate laboratory records, including testing, quality control, calibration, and maintenance documentation.
• Test proficiency samples using the same procedures applied to routine samples.
• Identify issues that may affect testing or result reporting and take appropriate corrective action or escalate concerns to laboratory management.
• Follow established corrective action procedures when testing systems deviate from required performance standards.
• Support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen.
• Maintain compliance with laboratory policies, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and applicable GMP and CLIA requirements.
• Contribute to a safe, efficient, and quality-focused laboratory environment.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in biomedical science, biological science, chemistry, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or a related discipline.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed SOPs and maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to quality, compliance, and data integrity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with computers and relevant laboratory or business software.
• Ability to assess the potential impact of testing deviations on product quality and support appropriate containment and preventive actions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology.
• At least one year of laboratory training or professional laboratory experience.
• MT or MLT certification through ASCP or another accredited certifying organization.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for approximately 6–8 hours during the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, and pull up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work with appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated hourly compensation range is $18.80–$29.56, with the final rate determined by factors including qualifications, relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
