KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Ability to read and understand Test Specifications.
  • Knowledge of testing and measurement equipment.
  • A basic knowledge of quality systems such as IATF 16949 and ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Basic engineering qualifications preferred, however not essential.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Hands on experience of mechanical, environmental, or electrical testing within a laboratory environment would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to assist with engineering testing requirements on various projects within the Central Laboratory. They will work closely with team members from the laboratory, supporting a culture of teamwork and flexibility.

The role will consist of but not be limited to:

  • Carry out a wide range of mechanical, environmental, and electrical tests in the laboratory in a professional and timely manner.
  • Prepare samples and laboratory equipment for various tests.
  • Use testing equipment with a focus on quality and accuracy of measurement.
  • Follow Central Laboratory test methods and Customer test specifications.
  • Record and communicate test results to laboratory management.
  • Carry out other duties as required by the line manager.
