We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Laboratory Technician. Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position will work a 7-7 shift consisting of 12 hours shift (days and nights).

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs and executes laboratory techniques as per methods independently, following the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to carry out analyses
• Completes laboratory logbook entries, lab reports, and lab records with a high degree of precision, accuracy and attention to detail
• Recording and periodically interpreting results to present to senior colleagues, results are evaluated in a timely manner
• Ensures all lab equipment is properly calibrated, maintained and tested with standards, troubleshooting breakdowns and performing preventive maintenance
• Demonstrates a commitment to testing accuracy, procedural compliance, on-time performance, safety and the environment

• Assists with preparing method SOP’s, validation protocol and reporting

  Skills and Qualifications:

• 1-3 years relevant laboratory experience

• Use of geochemistry instrumentation
• Proficient in statistical analysis
• Coordination when handling samples
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing demands
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
