We’ve got some big boots to fill here. One of our wonderful Laboratory Technicians have just retired after 20 years in the job, we need a new superstar to take the reins at this manufacturing site.
You’ll have lab-based experience and be keen to join a tight knit team of 4 who are all pulling in the same direction at this Plant.
It’s 4 on, 4 off. 7am until 5pm. We do envisage this role going to Monday to Friday (days still) in the next 3-6 months however – so the successful candidate here will be comfortable with both.
You’ll want to join a place where you get looked after, have autonomy on your shift, and get rewarded well for doing so.
Working independently will come naturally to you. It’s hugely important this part - there will be times, especially when your shifts land on a weekend, that you’ll be in the lab on your own. You need to have the experience to manage testing and liaise with production if there are any quality issues.
You’ll be validating samples and ensuring a positive outcome to ensure the site produces quality products consistently.
The site itself has gone through some changes (for the better!) in recent years. It’s been a good period of growth and they’re keen to reinvest where they can.
This particular site is a chemical plant. You don’t need to have a like-for-like background. We’re open to meeting candidates from any industry, such as FMCG as an example, as long as you can provide thorough lab-based experience, and worked in some form of manufacturing environment.
We’re paying £25,500 per annum. 28 days holiday.
Wrexham based, just off the Industrial estate.
