ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to support our research programme focused on developing advanced transcranial ultrasound technology for brain imaging and neural interfacing. Funded by EPSRC and ARIA, this project aims to create high-resolution images of the human brain, monitor deep neural activity, and explore brain stimulation techniques. You will work within a collaborative research environment, providing hands-on technical support and contributing to the development and testing of specialist equipment.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day technical operations of the laboratory, ensuring that research activities run smoothly and efficiently. You will assist in the design, construction, and maintenance of specialist ultrasound and electronic equipment, diagnose and rectify technical faults, and support researchers and students in their experimental work. Your contributions will also include maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and applying your technical expertise to innovate and refine research techniques.
