Description
Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Laboratory Technologist The Department is seeking an experienced Embryologist to manage an In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) Laboratory of the Department which provides a full range of treatments for infertile couples as well as undertakes active research programmes in IVF aspect. The appointee will be responsible for (a) working closely with teaching staff, doctors and a team of Embryologists to provide high-quality clinical services and academic research in IVF aspect; (b) providing embryology training to junior Embryologists; and (c) the laboratory management and quality assurance. Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Science and a Master’s degree in Science in an appropriate field; (ii) at least 10 years’ substantial experience in clinical embryology and andrology; (iii) experience in managing an IVF laboratory offering a full range of IVF and related procedures; and (iv) a record of active research in the field of IVF. Accredited as a Level II Embryologist by the Hong Kong Association of Clinical Embryologists is preferred. Having experience with local IVF regulatory and new protocol development will be an advantage. Appointment will initially be made on a 1-year contract, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
