Olgoonik is an Equal Opportunity Employer Temporary work in support of the Wainwright Gravel Haul Project, lasting up to 2 months. Camp, meals, bath, laundry will be provided. Transportation to the project site from Anchorage will be provided. Overview: Provides general labor support as the project requires. Primary Responsibilities: * Operates a variety of hand and power tools. * Coordinates with and work around heavy equipment operations. * Sets up and maintains job site safety equipment. * Performs daily tasks in a safe and workman like manner in accordance with company policies. * Other related duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: * N/A Education and/or Experience: * High school diploma or GED preferred. * Emergency responder training is a plus. * Experience working in safety equipment preferred (fall protection, eye protection, hearing protection, insect protection, etc.). * Experience using power tools preferred. * Experience operating forklifts and skid-steer preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: * Current Driver’s License required. Work Environment: The work location is in northern rural Alaska and may include exposure to extreme temperatures. The work will be outdoors during the Arctic Spring. Anticipate working outdoors in extreme cold, high winds, rain or snow, and occasional mosquito swarms. Work may be performed near moving mechanical parts and/or vibration. Work may be required in areas with high noise levels, fumes or airborne particles, or electrical shock hazards.
