JOB SUMMARY The Laborer plays a critical role in daily operations by performing hands-on, physical work that keeps materials moving and production running smoothly. This role supports various plant and yard activities through general labor, material handling, and equipment operation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Safely operate assigned equipment and tools Load, unload, lift, and move materials as needed Follow all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety policies Perform physically demanding tasks including climbing ladders, reaching overhead, bending, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Ability to work extended hours when required Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and teamwork WORK ENVIRONMENT Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying conditions including heat, cold, rain, dust, wind, and other elements Operate around heavy equipment and machinery All work performed in accordance with York Building Products safety standards PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Capable of shoveling wet, sticky material for extended periods ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Position Type: Full-Time Classification: Non-Exempt Supervisory Status: Non-Supervisory Duties, responsibilities, and work activities may change as business needs evolve.
