SUMMARY
The Laborer position is located within the Engineering Service assigned to the Construction Crew at the Salisbury VA Medical Center, in Salisbury, North Carolina.

Evidence which demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume. Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Thursday 12:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Physical Requirements: Required to routinely lift and carry objects weighing up to 50lbs with little to no assistance, required to occasionally lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to 80lbs with assistance. Also performs tasks and other strenuous laborer duties that require climbing ladders and considerable walking.
Physical Requirements: Work is done primarily indoors but also involve outside work performed under various weather conditions and may frequently result in exposure to dirt and dust. Required to use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety regulations to protect themselves and other employees.
