Description POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision, assist in the performance of skilled and semi-skilled tasks. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Plaza Company standards, policies, and procedures. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Devote himself/herself to ensuring the satisfaction of customers. Determine management, production, and quality requirements by asking questions and listening. Attend company meetings as required. Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow-through with assigned projects. Establish personal performance goals that are consistent with company standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals. Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively. Understand the terminology of the business and keep abreast of technology changes in products and services. Follow lawful directions from supervisors. Understand and follow work rules and procedures. Participate in performance management. Interact well with others and have a positive influence on employee morale. Uphold the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements. Working evening, weekend, and holiday work hours as required. JOB-SPECIFIC EXPECTATIONS: Clean and care for tools and equipment. Perform related duties as assigned. Removal of equipment and other related duties. Assists engineers in developing methods and procedures to control or improve Facilities processes. Sets up and operates all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work. Perform routine cleaning of the work area. Delivering heavy material to the engineering team during the repair and replacement of equipment and the removal of the old parts. Maintain the roofs and engineering shops, keeping the areas free of debris, trash, hazardous material, old and used parts, and broken parts. Disposal of cardboard, large and small metal scraps into the recycling bin, Ability to drive a forklift Must have a valid driver's license Ability to lift 50 pounds This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position. Certificate REQUIRED: Operation and use of a variety of light mechanical equipment, utilizing proper safety precautions and practices Basic knowledge of the uses and purposes of tools, materials, and equipment that are used in building maintenance Safety precautions used in general maintenance work Understand and carry out oral and written instructions required for successful job performance Ability to read and write well enough to perform the essential functions of the job Communicate clearly and concisely Must read and interpret diagrams and written instructions to set up for work assignments Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others contacted during work Work around Guests and Team Members contacted in the course of work in a tactful, courteous, sensitive, and amiable manner, even in situations where relationships may be strained Work in a safety-conscious manner Read, understand, and follow diagrams and written instructions Follow verbal instructions Work a flexible schedule, depending on department needs Sufficient basic facilities maintenance experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above Experience performing this work in a Hotel and Casino environment with high public contact is desirable Preferred: Previous experience working in a similar setting CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Union Referral WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS: Varies PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors. Most work tasks are performed indoors; however, there are events where outdoor activities are required. Indoor temperatures are moderate and controlled by internal environmental systems.
