POSITION SUMMARY

The Scheduling department is currently seeking a Permanent Part-Time Labour Relations Assistant to join their team.
Effective date: July 07, 2025
The Labour Relations Assistant is an integral part of the Human Resources Department. The Labour Relations Assistant will complete the scheduling/staffing process based on the appropriate collective agreement language, staffing levels and skill sets in collaboration with the department manager. The Labour Relations Assistant ensures that all information is entered into the scheduling system to meet the time card deadline for payroll purposes. The Labour Relations Assistant determines eligibility and records sick leave and other leaves, supports the Attendance Monitoring Program and maintains confidential employee records.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Understanding of Collective Agreements and scheduling processes in a healthcare environment
  • Labour relations experience
  • Previous experience in Staffing/Scheduling
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Solution focused with problem solving skills
  • Computer proficient in using HR Information Systems, MS Office Suite, and Scheduling Systems (UKG preferred)
  • Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job, as per the current Physical Demands Analysis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Payroll coding experience
