Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Labourer, you will assist skilled tradespersons by performing essential labouring activities at various construction sites. You will be a key team player in supporting construction operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity across diverse projects. This position provides an excellent opportunity for career growth within the construction industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Load and unload construction materials and move materials to designated work areas.
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
  • Assist tradespersons in various construction activities.
  • Help heavy equipment operators secure special attachments, signal operators, and assist with other activities.
  • Level earth to fine grade specifications using rakes and shovels.
  • Assist in demolishing buildings, sorting, cleaning, and piling salvaged materials.
  • Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment for daily tasks.
  • Prepare new construction sites by digging, moving dirt, and compacting spaces.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
