A great opportunity for someone wanting to start a career in the Marine Repair industry. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, physically-fit, safety-conscious and have previous experience working in an industrial environment. While this position will begin as seasonal, there is an opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate. Apprenticeship opportunities are also available.
The successful candidate maintains a clean and safe boatyard while:
· setting up various equipment around the Boatyard.
· prepping and painting boats.
· ensuring safety and environmental procedures are followed at all times.
· cleaning/organizing yard surfaces and buildings
· working with the Marine Travelift team to lift, pressure-wash, and secure vessels in the Boatyard.
The candidate must be able to pressure wash vessels for long periods of time and regularly lift 50-pound wooden blocks to secure vessel hulls. Forklift experience is required, a current forklift ticket would be an asset. The candidate must have an exceptional safety record and experience working in an industrial environment.
This is a full time, seasonal, Monday-Friday position.
