Description
Company Description At Inframax Construction, we’re proud to be a Kiwi-owned company with strong local roots. 100% owned by the Waitomo District Council, we specialise in building and maintaining roading infrastructure that keeps rural and regional New Zealand moving safely. We’re big enough to matter, but small enough to care – and our people, communities, and customers sit at the heart of everything we do. Job Description Based in Raetihi, you’ll be part of a two-person crew carrying out proactive and reactive maintenance across the Ruapehu District southern road network. Your day-to-day work will include: General road and footpath maintenance (potholes, drainage, slips, litter, vegetation control). Cleaning and maintaining roadside assets (signs, barriers, street cleaning). Supporting civil construction and drainage activities when required. Operating vehicles and plant safely and efficiently. Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and environmental standards. Qualifications We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking team player who enjoys hands-on outdoor work. You’ll be safety-conscious, adaptable, and willing to learn, with a positive attitude towards working in all conditions. This is a great opportunity to build a career in civil construction while working locally and making a visible difference in the community. To succeed, you’ll bring: A full Class 2 driver licence (preferred, will assist with training if required). A strong work ethic and commitment to health & safety. Practical skills with tools, machinery, or outdoor labouring. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a small crew. STMS Level 1 Practising or civil construction experience (desirable, but not essential). Additional Information Why Join Us? Stable, long-term work with a community-focused employer. Supportive team environment with training opportunities. Contribute to projects that directly benefit the Ruapehu region. Apply now to be part of a crew that keeps Ruapehu’s roads safe and connected.
