As we continue to grow, we're looking for Labourers to join the team in Edmonton, AB. Labourer Job Description Clean debris, trash and hazardous materials from construction sites Clean and maintain construction equipment and tools appropriately Assist in loading and unloading trucks Operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete or pavement. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes Sort and salvage useful materials Advise Immediate Supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs May assist with minor maintenance tasks on equipment (ie greasing of ball joints) Dispose of garbage and construction debris according to policies and procedures May operate basic hand tools such as saws, shovels, rakes, etc. May operate basic power tools such Circular Saws, Reciprocating Saws, Concrete Cutting Saws Provide manual labour assistance on various tasks and assignments Abide by HSE policies and other policies and procedures Job Requirements Must speak, read and write English fluently Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved demolition, repair or construction Must have CSTS 2009 Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's license is an asset Skills & Abilities Mindset geared towards safety Shows initiative and demonstrates a sense of urgency when completing tasks assigned Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills Able to work well under pressure and meet set schedules and deadlines Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to move through different tasks with purpose Commitment to working in a team environment with established team-­‐building abilities Working Conditions This position requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a construction work environment.
