Sherwood Park, AB seed potato farm is looking for a General Farm Hand with farm/acreage experience to start immediately. This position is for the Fall Harvest season mid Sept - early Nov 2025…approximately 3-5 weeks.
Be advised that this is a dusty, dirty environment, with long days both indoors & outdoors around running equipment. Work will consist of grading rocks & dirt from potato lines, cleaning up around equipment and buildings, general yard maintenance work, and some light construction activities.
This is full time work and requires availability to work M-Sat, 7:30 am-7:30 pm during Harvest…Sunday is always off. Hours and work days will be dependent on the weather and tasks required.
Employment requirements:
Candidates must be physically fit and willing to assist in all facets of the farm. Reliable daily transportation is necessary, good hand eye coordination, excellent multi tasking skills, the ability to lift 50 lbs consistently, and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Successful candidates will be considered for continued seasonal employment…ie. winter processing work, spring shipping, summer maintenance, fall harvest.
Other assets of consideration include: Detailed oriented, organized individual. Strong mechanical abilities. Basic hand/power tools knowledge. Previous Ride on Mower/Whipper Snipper/Chainsaw use. Forklift, and powered pallet jack experience.

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 65 per week
