Labourer/General Engineer

General Engineer/Labourer required for varied role at our busy laser cutting Company based in Burnley.
We are a sheet metal laser cutting Company manufacturing parts for various industries in the UK. We are looking to recruit a permanent General Engineer to assist with production, who is able to work on own initiative and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• You must be over 30 with a full, clean driving licence
• Keen, committed, reliable and punctual, and have a professional approach
• Lifting and loading does form part of the role so applicant should be physically suited
• Fork-lift truck licence/experience desirable
  This is a full time role 08.00 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday, and 0.800 to 14.00 on Fridays.
  Salary will depend on experience. Salary shown indicative of potential earnings, progression available. Training will be given to right candidate.

• Handling materials/sheet steel and cut parts on and off laser cutter
• Labelling parts and getting orders ready for despatch
• Packing & wrapping
• Assist with loading van for delivery
• Assist with unloading stock deliveries
• Spot welding, dressing/deburring
• Metal polishing
• General workshop tasks assisting in other areas when required
• General housekeeping/maintenance of a clean workshop environment
• Occasionally delivering customer orders
