We are seeking a reliable and capable Labourer to support our operations with a focus on forklift operation, driving duties and assisting our busy Despatch and Production Departments.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, safety conscious and proactive with a strong work ethic and a commitment to supporting the smooth flow of goods within the business.
This would be for an immediate start, at our Manufacturing Facility in Southport, Merseyside, UK.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Valid Forklift Licence
  • Current and valid driver’s licence
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, transport and logistics environment.
  • Basic knowledge of despatch and inventory procedures
  • Perform physical work in a busy environment
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all HSE procedures.
  • Perform general labouring tasks.
  • Operate our forklifts (counterbalance) safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct routine checks on our forklift equipment
  • Support the Despatch department with picking, receiving and issuing on system, packing, labelling and preparing customer orders.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles
  • Deliver goods to customer or supplier locations as required, always maintaining a professional manner.
  • Assist with inventory counts, stock control and factory organisation.
  • Support Production when required with general tasks such as deburring and painting of products.
  • Involvement with Continuous Improvement initiatives.
