Overview:
Rydon Maintenance are seeking a dedicated Skilled Labourer to join our repairs and maintenance team in Islington. The role will involve carrying out labouring duties on tenanted social housing properties.
This role is initially offered on a 6 month PAYE contract, with the possibility of a permanent position following a successful review.
Rydon Maintenance operates throughout England successfully providing facilities management services to a variety of clients, predominantly within the healthcare and housing association sectors. We focus on maintaining, improving, and enhancing properties with a range of maintenance and repair services.

Job Purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated Skilled Labourer to join our repairs and maintenance team in Islington. The role will involve travelling around multiple social housing proprieties in Islington where we carry out external redecoration and maintenance works. You will be provided with a company van and fuel card for travel so a UK driving licence is required. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Reporting on site for 8am the Site Manager will provide directions on the workload for the day. These duties will include;

  • Laying protection to flooring where scaffolds are being erected.
  • Installing signage to scaffolds
  • Cleaning and sweeping after scaffolds are erected and dismantled.
  • Taking photographs of sites pre and post works and sending to Admin Team.
  • Unsticking windows.
  • Carrying out minor touch up paintwork.
  • Assisting site operatives with works.
  • Complete site-based documentation electronically or in paper format as required.
  • Cleaning and maintenance of welfare unit.

This is a full time position and working hours are 42.5 per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 5:30pm
This is a fixed term contract, initially for a 6 month duration. Upon review there is the potential for the position to be made permanent.
