THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Hand to join our team in Mitchell ACT. This is full time permanent role with early starts (7.30am), plenty of overtime available and a consistent roster.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleanliness and manual handling of the general yard.

• Assessing incoming loads
• Inform and direct the public about appropriate areas to put items they’re disposing
• Assist in manually sorting waste and waste dumped in incorrect areas
• Conduct regular litter picking/machinery cleaning
• Learn to identify higher value non-ferrous items for recovery
• Operating a forklift as required
• Performing additional yard duties as needed
