LABPACK LABOURER

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services companies in North America, is currently looking for Labpack Labourers to join its Canadian team located in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Under the direction of the site supervisor, you will be assigned different indoor and outdoor tasks.

Essential responsibilities and duties include:

  • The unpacking and bulking of sorted & compatible packaged hazardous chemical wastes as part of a processing & consolidation production line.
  • Material handling including but not limited to the handling of bottles, pails, 205 L drums and 1000 L totes. Loading, stacking, pumping, lifting and general bulking using applicable material handling procedures and equipment.
  • Daily workspace maintenance including, but not limited to cleaning (sweeping, washing, sanitizing) and general organization.
  • Occasional lift truck operation.
  • Use of company provided personal protective equipment (PPE) includes coveralls, Tyvek apron, CSA approved work boots, hard hat, full-face respirator and task specific gloves.
  • Occasional seasonal (May through October) weekend overtime work, either in the production space or in the field as a team member on a mobile household hazardous waste collection event crew.
  • Training provided by employer

Requirements (*Training provided by employer):

  • Develop an understanding of *WHMIS regulations, *Triumvirate health and safety practices, and *TDG regulations.
  • Learn and apply basic knowledge of daily work practices.
