SUPPORT TEAM LEAD

Located in Gunn, Alberta, Lakeview Recovery Community supports men living with addiction on
their journey to a sustainable recovery. We deliver a full continuum of addiction recovery support in
a community environment, focusing on healing and personal growth. Our goal is that individuals
leave Lakeview with the life skills, tools, and resources to maintain long-term wellness and sustain
recovery and having nurtured healthy relationships with friends and family.
Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Support Team Lead will oversee our team of Support
Care Workers at Lakeview Recovery Community. The Support Team Lead will ensure the delivery of
high-quality care and support services to individuals recovering from addiction. Their leadership
will foster a collaborative and supportive environment, guiding their team in offering empathetic,
effective care and promoting the well-being of our clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, nursing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an addiction recovery setting, with at least 5 years in aleadership or supervisory role.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspireand motivate staff.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, empathetic care to individuals in recovery.
  • Proven experience in crisis de-escalation and management.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and support to Support Care Workers, including training,performance evaluation, and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of care provided to clients, adhering to best practices inaddiction recovery and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ensure program compliance with the Recovery Communities Provincial Manual. Ensuringadherence to the Therapeutic Community Model.
  • Work closely with the Clinical and Medical team to coordinate comprehensive recoveryplans and risk management plans for clients, addressing both their physical and emotionalrecovery needs.
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized support services, ensuring that client careis compassionate, person-centered, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
  • Lead and support staff in managing crisis situations, providing guidance and interventionstrategies to ensure the safety and well-being of both clients and staff.
  • Collaborate in the development, evaluation, and refinement of recovery programs andservices, incorporating feedback from clients and staff to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Promote a positive community environment within the recovery community, encouragingmutual support, participation in group activities, and the cultivation of a strong supportnetwork among clients.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to team management, including scheduling, staffassignments, and coordination of resources to meet client needs effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with the clients and their families on reunification and relationshipbuilding.
  • Evening and weekend shifts will be required on a rotating basis.
