Description Lakota Solutions is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic to support our contract at Eglin AFB, FL. This position will report directly to the section lead or a designated representative and is required to perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, minor/major maintenance, operational checkouts and troubleshooting on assigned powered/non-powered ground support equipment/vehicles. Duties and Responsibilities: Clears Red “X” condition discrepancies and other forms symbols as required. Inspects, troubleshoots/diagnoses malfunctions, makes repairs, services, cleans and treats for corrosion powered/non-powered AGE. Troubleshoots and corrects AGE malfunctions utilizing drawings, diagrams, schematics, and technical instructions. Troubleshoots and corrects AGE malfunctions utilizing conventional and digital multi-meters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscope, and gas turbine engine analyzers. Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls AGE accessories and sub-components. Operates AGE to perform required functional tests to determine proper operation of powered/non-powered AGE in accordance with technical data. Uses and maintains applicable shop support equipment; may be required to perform repairs on equipment to include disassembly, repair and re-assembly in accordance with technical data. Maintains manual and/or automated records including Maintenance Information System (MIS) documentation of maintenance actions. Recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures. Uses automated maintenance systems. Clears and closes out completed maintenance discrepancies in automated maintenance systems. May be required to perform like and similar duties of a lesser job description and other ancillary duties as assigned. Individual performs daily flightline driving and servicing functions as required. Responsible for proper and accurate maintenance documentation and time accounting systems associated with repairs. Uses hand and powered tools. Uses test and diagnostic equipment. Compliance with all applicable technical orders, equipment manuals, and regulations is required at all times in the daily performance of duties. Person must maintain immediate work area, facilities, and vehicles using good housekeeping and safety practices. Individual will be required to perform additional duties as required by AGE Site Manager. Required to perform assigned tasks within your work center that directly supports necessary functions of this job classification. Requirements Basic Minimum Requirements Candidate must be US Citizen Candidate must have ability to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC) Candidate must have eligibility to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance Candidate must have 5+ years experience with the following: Prior experience as an Aerospace Ground Equipment Mechanic Individual must possess basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles. Must be able to read and use electrical wiring diagrams in the performance of maintenance. Basic computer skills are required. Must be able to operate common and special hand and power tools in the performance of duties. Individual must be capable of operating special test and diagnostic equipment.
