JCG Land Services is looking to hire a full-time Acquisition Specialist to acquire property rights and leases for power development projects in the Albert Lea, MN area.
This non-exempt position is remote, and will require weekday travel, which includes some overnight stays as needed. Office equipment will be provided, and travel expenses will be paid for by the employer or are reimbursed. Must be able to obtain Notary Public designation.
The successful candidate will have a professional and positive attitude with a strong work ethic; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and the flexibility to work both with a team or independently.
Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00/hourly; commensurate with experience. Plus mileage @ $0.70 per mile, along with a full benefits package, including 5% 401K company match.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • BA or AA in Business, AG Business, Real Estate, Marketing, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience in Ag, Construction, Sales, Real Estate, Land Acquisition, or Customer Service a plus but not required
  • Must be willing to travel a couple days a week.
  • Effective interpersonal and conflict resolution skills along with good judgement.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills to resolve complex and difficult acquisitions.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with active auto insurance.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Infrastructure projects by brokering the relationship between the client and Landowner.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with industry leaders and landowners.
  • Conducting negotiation meetings with property owners to acquire easements, property acquisitions, or access rights.
  • Evaluate and negotiate crop and property damages related to construction or maintenance.
  • Work with landowners to coordinate preferred methods of property access for construction or utility maintenance.
  • Manage and maintain accurate landowner records/notes for parcel files.
  • Read, interpret, and explain project plans.
  • Tracking project progress and task completion.
