We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the planning and execution of residential land development projects in the Houston area. In this role, you will work closely with senior project managers and technical teams, assisting in the design, coordination, and construction phases of land development including grading, drainage, roadways, and utilities. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation in civil engineering who is ready to take the next step in their career by gaining exposure to project management, client interaction, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities Assist Project Managers with planning, design, and management of residential land development projects. Prepare and review engineering plans and reports including layout, grading, drainage, and utilities. Support coordination with clients, consultants, contractors, and public agencies. Help manage project schedules, budgets, and documentation. Conduct technical research, perform calculations, and support QA/QC procedures. Assist in construction phase services, including site visits and reviewing contractor submittals. Contribute to permit applications and regulatory approvals. Support preparation of proposals, presentations, invoices and technical deliverables. Attend internal and external meetings and represent the team professionally. Participate in mentoring junior staff and fostering a collaborative team environment. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field 4+ years of experience in civil design with a focus on land development Possess valid Texas (TX) Professional Engineer registration, passed PE exam, or have relevant PM experience Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong understanding of local codes, regulations, and permitting processes Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment Motivated team player with a desire to grow into a project management role Why Join DCCM?
